Saber Advantage PC Plan

This is a preventive maintenance service for desktops, designed to proactively and regimentally maintain the most troublesome areas of desktop management such as virus problems, spyware issues and patching. It is highly unobtrusive and performed as a background service. The services performed under this package include:

◊ Critical “white listed” Microsoft patch installation
We test all of Microsoft’s patches before deploying. Only the patches that have passed our rigorous testing process are automatically deployed.

◊ Hardware and Software inventory
We can look back at any PC over a given period of time and determine if any new software or hardware has been installed or removed.

◊ Spyware Removal
We offer not one, but two highly rated anti-spyware software packages installed and maintained. These would be Spybot search and Destroy, and Counter Spy. They are updated and run automatically.

◊ Automated Disk Defragmentation
Disk fragmentation slows the overall performance of your system. When files are fragmented, the computer must search the hard disk when the file is opened to piece it back together. The response time can be significantly longer.

◊ Hard Drive (Disk) Monitoring
We monitor your computer's hard drive to make sure the available free space is sufficient to maintain peak operating performance. We also monitor your hard drives for any alerts generated from the hard drive itself that alert us to a predictive failure condition. We can resolve the problem before you experience down time or lose any critical data.

◊ 24/7 Monitoring and Maintenance
We are monitoring and maintaining your PC 24/7. In fact, almost all of our proactive work is done after your business day ends. Ours is just beginning. We don't have to come during the busy part of your day and interrupt your staff. Nor do we need to charge you any after hour rates. This is all part of the Saber Advantage plan.

Saber provides Anti-Virus support for most major vendors and includes Bitdefender Antivirus. Saber checks daily to make sure that your virus software is up to date and hasn't been corrupted.

Not only will Saber employees be able to work remotely, but you and your employees can have remote access to any PC in your office! Securely! There is no longer a need to create vulnerabilities in your in your firewall by creating "holes" for remote access. All you need is a web browser and of course the correct username and password for access. You will be able to print remotely, share your PC with a 3rd party vendor, remote control a branch office PC for training purposes, and if you have files that are too large to send via email, you can share these securely over the Internet without using email.

We regularly remove temporary files, temporary Internet files, and other files that do nothing more than waste valuable disk space. By freeing disk space, you can improve the performance of your computer.
